Interdisciplinary Care

It takes a village! Interdisciplinary care is vital to me when caring for my clients. Research supports a multidisciplinary team approach as best practice for disordered eating treatment. Given that most chronic conditions are complex and multifaceted, I have and continue to value collaborating with amazing outpatient healthcare providers for care coordination and mutual learning.

All testimonials provided below, posted with permission, are from amazing healthcare professionals I collaborate with. I am grateful for their expertise, dedication to their clients, curiosity, and humbleness. I would recommend any client to work with them.

“What I appreciate most about working with Ivory is her undying advocacy for her patients and meticulous level of detail as well as judicious vocalizing of treatments. She provides more helpful collateral information and feedback than the average therapist I work with: usually I only hear from them when things are not well, but Ivory embodies the (old but good) cliche of ‘an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.’

I'd provide the highest endorsement possible for anyone to work with Ivory. If I had a direct relative in need of dietary assistance or consultation, I would trust my family members' under Ivory’s care without hesitation--highest endorsement I can think of!”

“I would count anyone as lucky to get the opportunity to work with Ivory due to the amount of knowledge she brings to her perspective as a dietician. Ivory is able to meet clients where they are at, being incredibly mindful of ways that diet culture has informed many of our own judgments about food.

What I appreciate most about working with Ivory is her warm demeanor and openness towards collaboration. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, but she puts a strong emphasis on the relationships she cultivates with her clients. It is very clear that Ivory cares about the people she works with and there is nothing better than that in a clinician.

I find that Ivory is always looking to understand things she may not already know. I think this sets her apart from other dieticians because she is constantly trying to understand her craft and learn new ways to provide the best care to her clients.”
